On Sunday 28 June from noon until 4pm, members of The Kite Society of Great Britain will be giving a spectacular display of kite flying, at Parliament Hill Fields, across from the athletics track. Expect tricks and intricate routines accompanied by music.

There’s no need to book – just turn up! This free event from The Kite Society of Great Britain is generously supported by The Heath & Hampstead Society, Heath Hands and The City of London Corporation.

A little update about Heath Hands

Heath Hands, which delivers a range of volunteering and nature related programmes across Hampstead Heath, Highgate Wood, Keats House and the Kenwood Estate, has a new Heath Information Hut, not far from the Parliament Hill bandstand and near to the weekly Parliament Hill Farmers Market.

The Heath Info Hut is open on Saturdays from 10-2pm so that people can find out about upcoming walks and activities and pick up a nature spotter sheet. At the hut you can also buy Hampstead-related goodies or plants grown in the Heath Hands nursery.    www.heath-hands.org.uk
