“We aim to be a destination for locals needing everyday essentials as well as those wanting unusual, high-end products,” says the store’s manager Kalman Mezei. For fruit and veg and kitchen staples with prices more aligned to discount supermarkets, Kavanaghs stocks the Jack’s range which doesn’t compromise on quality, especially with its popular fresh meats. And, for instance, two readymade Jack’s meals for £6.50 will contain the same ingredients which you’ll find in a home kitchen.
At Kavanaghs the huge cheese selection and numerous cold cuts show how you can choose between family-value or premium foods which are likely to be artisan or handcrafted.
