On Sunday 4 October from 12.30-4pm it’s the return of the world-famous Hampstead Heath Conker Championships at the Parliament Hill Bandstand in Parliament Fields.
This popular conker competition has four age categories: under 5s, 5-9 years, 10-16 years and adults. Be sure to catch the final face-offs in the squared conker circle!
No experience required. Rules and adjudication will be provided by the Grand Conker Meister. And prizes will be given to the winners in each category.
If you want to compete, registration opens at 12.30pm. Conkers are provided – Heath Hands youth volunteers have been putting hundreds of conkers on strings!
Entrants will be asked to make a donation to the organiser Heath Hands which is a charity supporting the conservation of Hampstead Heath.
At the event there will also be free nature activities for families, stalls and throughout the afternoon, live music from Hampstead based rock band Mad Dog Bites.
