About Us
“I started In The Square because as a Belsize resident I wanted to share the love I have for this unique and friendly part of London.
From the response which I’ve had, I see how locals want to know more about all the interesting people and companies, creatives and celebrities who live amongst us. I have often been told that this community magazine was long overdue!”
Nicola Manasseh
Editor-In-Chief
In The Square is a print magazine covering news and stories from Belsize Park and the NW3 area. There are three editions each year — spring, summer and winter.
The magazine is funded by advertising and free to the public. It is available at shops, cafés, restaurants, salons, gyms, galleries, libraries and public spaces in Belsize Village, England’s Lane, Haverstock Hill, Steele’s Village, Eton Avenue Square, in some cafés in South End Green and Swiss Cottage, and at the Finchley O2 and Hampstead Community Centre. There are also copies at The Roundhouse in Chalk Farm and at the Mariott Regents Park and Hampstead Theatre. The magazine is posted through the doors of many homes in Belsize Park and Lower Hampstead.
In The Square’s first edition came out in autumn 2021. Each includes interviews with business owners and entrepreneurs, community leaders and volunteers, Belsize high achievers including celebrities, designers, artists, musicians, chefs and wellness practitioners. Also reviews of places to visit and local events.
“In The Square has brought an energy and much appreciated open ended communication channel to Belsize. The writing style reflects the simplicity and ethos of our neighbourhood — both personal and delightfully simple. This thoughtfully designed magazine is fast becoming a reference point for our residents and provides visibility to local businesses like ours.”

“In The Square is a wonderful read and being a part of it in an editorial feature has led to many great connections. From the outset, Nicola let me know her intention to provide content that gives readers inspiration. It’s great that it’s so easy to pick up in many diverse and much loved places in North West London.”
